Might be starting for me at the end of this season or near the end.

The racing team I'm really good friends with, help out with, and massively support is thinking about building a Mini Stock (imagine like an older VW Rabbit turned race car or just Google lol) and they might let me test it out and see how I do in it.

If all goes well, and I'm really hoping it does, this will be the foot in the door into racing and actually being behind the wheel of a car that I've been wanting to happen for the past 7 or 8 years.

Tldr dear diary post of the day.

Nice, and good luck. Hard work and dedication pays off. Not sure if you did either lol, but it seems you've been with/around the right people. And thats working out for you!

And this is kind of related, but I've been doing some reading about motox teams/events etc in my area. And the number one thing is no one bashes you for learning, their is a curve, learn it. We all gotta start somewhere

I don't really do much with them. Just help load and unload parts and stuff, help with tech, etc.

But I've been wanting to do this since I was 5 years old. And Mini Stocks aren't a bad place to start at all. At my home track it goes Mini Stocks > Street Stocks (mid 70s camaros etc) > Super Late Models

You're like 25 years old? You've gotten the racing bug about 15 years too late.

its not too late for local racing. he just means moving up to the big time racing circuits like nascar, indycar, f1, etc.

but there are plenty of people who never venture further than super late models or sprint cars and they still make money and enjoy what they do. let us know how you do and if you are gonna get to race.

also dirt>asphalt anyday

And I won't find out until before I leave for vacation. So sometime around the last week of july
