Shit's already not working.

Yesterday when I got the car it would start up fine and everything.

Today, ironically when I went back there to get paperwork, it wouldn't start as I was trying to leave. It took about 10 tries.
I turned it off, let it sit, and then it started up fine again one try. So I thought it was nothing.

Ever since I got home and every try since then, it takes 5+ tries of turning the key to finally get the starter to crank the engine.

Starter just clicks, sometimes there is a hum.
I went to advance auto parts and had them run the battery/alternator/starter check. They said the battery was fine, but it looked like the starter was pulling to much power.

Any ideas?
I am gonna drop it off AGAIN tomorrow, but I was just hoping to have an idea in mind about the problem.

Denso starter btw

Starter solenoid. Give it a wack, could be stuck/sticking.

If it doesnt start, and you tap the solenoid hard with a wrench, and you hear it click and/or the car fires up after, that could be it.

Also, check the grounds on the starter, make sure everything is tight.

Them are the basic/free things you can do.

edit: depending on year, make/model of the car, the solenoid is either on the starter, or on the fender under the hood.

edit2- if you look at the starter, and there is the main body, and smaller cylinder attached to it, the smaller cylinder is the solenoid. If it isnt there, its attached to the fender somewhere.

You should never have to remove anything to get to a starter minus a skidplat/splash guard

is your car euro or asian? because it seems like something they would do if that is the case lol

All makes sense now lol

Check your grounds. Is your volt gauge on the dash in the normal zone when idling and when under load / when you have radio/ac/etc on?

you should really check your wires going to the starter and make sure they are all tight. also check your ends at the battery. sometimes they just get loose and cause erratic problems.

also can you at least tell us the basic info about the car? year make model engine auto or manual. it does help if we have an idea of what your vehicle is.
