pretty awesome car but not exactly what i envisioned when i read "barn built"

how does it differ from a regular rally car? from what i read a rally car is actually a street car modified for rally but this car never started as a street car?

Barn built, not barn financed. (ignore the sponsor stickers!)

mustve been a hell of a barn. it was probably actually a nice garage at his house. im not questioning the hard work he undoubtedly put into it with his own hands. just the way they make it sound by calling it barn built.

most rally cars use many original parts of the car they are based on and other mass produced aftermarket parts, this guy made a lot of stuff by himself (suspension, roll cage, chassis probably - not sure on that one) and mounted Pug shell on top. yes, this never started as a road car but he had to get it street legal so he could drive rallies, so its sort of reversed order compared to normal rally car.

you can see the barn in video
