Minimum here is 70% light, so 30% tint is it even worth getting?

I have had illegal tints for years and never got ticketed.

Been ticketed once or twice for other reasons, with the tint being on my car.

I had a truck with illegal tint and totaled it into a ditch. The cop who arrived at the scene told me, "you know, I could give you a ticket for your window tint, but it looks like you're having a bad day already". . .

If you plan on seeing out your back window (assuming you want to tint the entire car to match, 4x windows, eyebrow, and back window) then 20% is the way to go and have reasonable visiblity out the back.

If you don't want to see anything you're doing (out the back), 10% or lower sir. Also, during turns that don't have much moonlight / traffic light, you might be stuck rolling down your window to see through the turn. This happened to me on my 2011 STi... stuck with 20% since then.

Front window... mirror tints, ride dirty as fuck.

The rest of the windows are already factory tinted. Just want to do my front windows too. I'm sick of having illegal stuff on my car I sold my car and bought a truck for that. Had enough of cops always following me and even stopping me. Sucks when you're just going to work and scared to get pulled over when you pass by a cop.

30% will "help" against light. 20% would be best in my personal opinion (as long as it'll somewhat match your factory tint).

it really depends on how much of a dick the police officers are in your area / what car you drive. 30% is significantly darker than 70% and you will probably be able to tell just from a quick glance. Some cops will tack on the tint ticket when accidents or other traffic violations occur so keep that in mind too. However, some places will let you rip the tint off and just give you a warning, so you could always rock it and see if the cops fuck with you
