gettin new tires this week for the upcoming winter season. although i know that winter tres are best in winter i do not want to buy 2 full sets of tires within 1 year.

so i would like to know some good tires that handle very well in the winter along with the dry season.

looking to spend maybe $130 on each tire.

2007 charger rwd 3700 lb car

235/65/17 is the size i would like to use as these cars can have a alternate size on this rim as well.

um i did? but we get on average a good snowfall 8+ inches here. not all, all season tires handle well in the winter.

and its a rear wheel drive car.

just looking for some good tires that will perform well in the winter and not mediocre. i bought all seasons 2 years ago and i had more than half tread on the rear and all i did was spin the tires in 2 inches of snow last year.

That budget your better off buying Chinese winter tires, they will be better than most a/s tires, when spring comes look for used all season rubbers.

im not too pressed on $$ during spring time. i just dont really want to spend over $500 on tires right now.. tax season i get annually 9 grand back. so buyin new rubbers isnt a problem. just right now it is based on funds at the moment.

then you shouldve done more research and asked more questions when you bought the all seasons if they cant perform in all seasons.

just got the info i needed.. all seasons arent meant for winter period. all weather and winter tires are meant for any snowfall or weather under 7 degree , so i guess i will buy studless all weather tires since they can be used year round.

do yourself a favor and get maybe 4 bags of play sand from lowes or somewhere and put in the trunk for the winter. they are 50 pound bags and with rear wheel drive it should help out enormously. dont go overboard and squat the ass though.

as long as you got some thats all that matters. if you need extra you can always throw a bag or two in they arent that big. ive seen 2wd rear wheel drives with weight in the rear go as good as 4x4s in snow that weight goes a long way.
