For those of you who do enduro style/ woods dirtbiking. Would you upgrade to a 2012 KTM 350 xcw-f with only 18 hours or keep riding my 09 ktm 300xcw with 176 hours. The 300 is a beast still, but I can get a 350 for a good deal and they go up hills with less effort.

when it comes to bikes, just upgrade whenever you can for more power because eventually you will get one anyways. So if its a good price, and you can afford it, then get it lol.

the beauty with that much power, torque and more weight is more traction for tight cornering, and incline acceleration :P

edit: it will take a few minutes to get use to but eventually you will be able to throw the weight and power around like its a 250. Its just how it is with bikes.

i started with a yamaha r1 back in high school as my first street motorcyle. No point in starting small and upgrading down the road because the physics of the bigger bike are way different and you are gonna have to relearn that setup anyways. Starting small and going big makes no sense when it comes to two wheel cuz it doesnt matter hopw big or small, slow or fast a bike is..because if you are retarded with it, it will kill you regardless lol.

i been riding bikes for almost 20 years (got my first bike when i was 8 (honda 80 dirt bike) just my two cents :P

No.

Just no.

You are so fucking wrong it's pathetic. Outside of the desert there is actually a big movement back to 250 2 strokes because of the light weight. Bashing around the woods with friends is nothing like actual woods racing.

It all depends on the money. Lower hours is always better with a woods bike. Then again you have one of the best 2 strokes in the game. Moving to a 350 four stroke is kind of meh to me. If your 300 is in good shape I would keep it unless the deal on the 350 is really, really good.

A riding buddy is going to let me take his 2014 350 exc-f with a rekluse for a ride, so I guess I will decide then. The 350 is 7k with a few mods. My bike has a lot of add ons , but i can get 5k for It most likely. I will probably keep the 300, but we'll see lol.

Which Rekluse is on it? I'm still a manual clutch guy but the Core EXP 2.0 is solid. It's the only one I've ridden that has made me contemplate dropping a grand on it.

He's got the core exp 3.0 and I have about 10 hours on the core exp 2.0 and I really like it. I was hesitant at first, but it's really nice at times. A guy at work has the cheaper clutch and I would never install that in my bike. His clutch lever is limp and his clutch doesn't engage properly like mine.

You have to be one hell of a rider to actually see a difference. You may find out the heavier bike you are not as fast.....

I've seen pro's on big wheel 80's keep up and pass C and D class riders on 500's.

Remember its all about the rider.....

i would keep rocking the 300 i mean 5,000 for a 50cc upgrade doesn't seem worth it

AND Ide rather have that 300, i prefer 2 strokes to 4 strokes
