this is no possible way to get a good bicycle at a realitively low cost, unless by realitive you mean 1-2k.
1. start researching bikes, brands, and styles.
2. go to a bike shop and look around, ask questions, get suggestions. tell them you are buying new.
3. get your bike size, and an idea of what you want.
4. buy it on craigslist and save a grand.
i have a trek DS, but i mainly ride for distance on limestone and minor single track trails. there aren't many actual mountains or advanced trails in illinois, so no need for a full suspension mountain bike here.
Yeah if you saw a post or two up I understand the 1-1.5k is exactly what I will be looking at, the problem with the whole bike shop thing, is there is only one near me/ the mountain, and I feel that they will just push their products, yet I still need to go and check so we will see. Koj suggested 29's and giants so I will keep an eye out for that.
Unlike Motorcycles and cars which I understand the depreciation and advancement in tech, I dont in mountain bike yet, something that I need to catch up on
Appricaite the help m9's, yall are gr8
