I bought a 2007 f150 about a year and a half ago and it has come the time to replace the tires (they were not new when i bought the truck). I'm going to wait for my tax return to make the purchase so I'm trying to get a ball park idea of how much i can expect to spend on 4 tires, googling i found mixed answers. from 300-600 (obviously price varies on quality and brand and type of tire). I only drive on the road and expressway. also, the previous owner tried to paint the rims black and it was a complete hack job and they look like shit. I'm scared to try and remove the paint to see what they look like underneath, however I am considering just redoing them.. that's where my other question comes in, i dont need some fancy schmancy rims, but 4 decent looking black rims would be nice. anyone have a ballpark figure of what i should expect to pay for everything?

if I call a shop i know theyre just going to try and sell me the most expensive shit, so i just want some honest answers. again i did try googling with mixed results so i was hoping for some more specific answers. thanks guys

You could probably have the rims powder coated for $50 each or so. Less if you can find some connections with their own equipment.
Tires depends. Some tires are <$100 each, some are >$400 each.

Powder coating would be a good idea but you won't be able to use that vehicle for a couple days unless you have spare rims.

Tires vary...so many options

I have considered doing this, but the rims are dinged up a bit and i cant really be out of a vehicle for a few days for them to dry. i rather spend the money and get something new

what rim/tire size are you after for your truck?

you can repair your own wheels also if they aren't cracked or bent its pretty simple.

Either A : go to a local tire shop and look for a tire and rim that you like and want. Ask question about the product, and for any specials they have atm.
Or B : use google. Look for tires and rims that you like,
Then look up reviews for that company and the product specifi you want.

They're 17 inch. I'm just trying to get ideas of what to expect to spend really and any other tips. I have tried to google but mixed answers and a bit overwhelming for someone new to the market
