I'm 18, and I'm going to be paying for the car + insurance+ parts. I was looking at a few decent eclipses from years 98-2004 Are these cars good enough? Any insight whatsoever could help

For the car itself, around 2400 to 2600

first car stay away from dsm, with that budge go with something common and easy to work on civic, accord, Camry, corolla etc...

I would have to agree with charliemurphy on this...Eclipse + 3000GT's are money pits from what I hear...they look awesome but that's about it...lol...transmissions horrible.

Gotta get ye' old reliables & easy to work on.
Stick with the common imports IMO, parts are cheap , last for ever. Obv you wont be redline shifitng in a civic at 120mph.. Or your an idiot. Go preformance or higherclass when you can afford to plAy. Cuz it aint cheap

stay away from Eclipse. Well, stay away from the dsms. Nice vehicles, but money pits. Judging by your post, you don't have a lot of money.
