Was the stop sign hard to see where you were? Was it being partially blocked by something like a tree, or a parked car on the steet? Was the white line faded? If any of what I said is true, take pictures and show the prosecutor, sometimes theyll dismiss it because of it, happened to my friend.

if it was in clear sight and you just herpderpd it, still plead nit guilty. Idk where you live, but here in ny they have plea bargaining, meaning you can plead not guilty to the original charge and theyll give you something insignificant in return, but a little more pricey. My friend just got a stop sign ticket, pled not guilty, got a littering ticket, paid a little extra but no points.
