im looking at all these boats for sell with v8s in them, and i kinda like it. i woulnd mind finding a shell and droping my dads 350 that he has lying around in one anyone know if its worth it?
wats so different about an engine in a marine application?

edit: looking at prices its not even worth it putting all the effforts of changing the engine, but i would probably mod for that extra performance

Before you get the mod bug read up on the different outdrives and what they will hold. They are expensive to fix. Most boats under 20ft have mercury alpha drives which will barely hold a bone stock 350. Most of them come with an i4 or v6.

Worth it? Maybe, if you have a shit ton of money to throw at it.
My buddys boat has dual 454's with open headers, it's a beeeeeast, you can hear it from like 10 miles away.
Here's the downfall, we went through 800$ in fuel in 2 days.
