Long story short Im moving to North Georgia/North Carolina (right at the border) and one of the houses I have my eye on is a good bit up in the mountains.
My daily drive to work would be a pretty decent elevation change through winding mountain roads which has me curious as to how winter will be.
I live just south of Atlanta so snow isnt really a common thing here and any time we have been out of state all of the roads were well plowed/salted.

Im already planning on buying a 4x4 truck soon, how big of a deal is the snow really going to be if I have 4wd and some winter tires?
I would assume you would want some fairly big tires to make it easier?

skinnier tires are better for the snow. Just go slow and dont think you're a rally driver.

This question 100% depends on how and how often the road is cleared lol. But yeah, just don't drive like an idiot and you'll be fine, especially in a 4x4 truck with proper tires.

a/t tires and chains and you should be fine.

usually if there is a history of bad weather on the road you will be taking there will be plenty of advisory signs about it.

WRONG

the skinnier the tire the quicker it will dig in and get u stuck, there like pizza cutters

the wider the tire the bigger the foot print, aka floatation
