Looking to get a 03-06 cbr 600rr for around $5,000

question: a lot of people think a 600 is too big for a first bike, but I don't think so. A 600 is right in the middle of the spectrum, does anybody else think its too big for a first bike?

my friend also has a cbr 600 as his first bike so this makes me want one even moreee

any size bike is safe and fine to start with as long as you aren't a total retard.

you can get a 1200+ bike if you aren't a dumbass.

as long as you understand the bike is only as fast as you twist the throttle you should be fine.

This can be just as dangerous at times. Don't hit the road until you're confident in your abilities.

I bought a 500 ninja for my first rocket, about 3 weeks later I wish I would have bought a 1000 ++ cc rocket. It wasnt my first bike, but I always rode bigger harleys and cruiser style bikes and see guys going 70 on the highway riding wheelies and I was a little scared myself.I would actually recommend buying a cheap 500-1000 beater you dont mind dumping as opposed to a 5k bike for your first time out, unless you know how to ride already, I would look on CL for a cheap road bike and have your buddy check it out with ya, if you are a total noob.A 600 will be fun for a summer or two maybe then you'll want bigger. Just ride responsibly and dont try to stunt and race and stuff. Get comfortable with how it feels and handles for awhile and you should be ok with any bike once you learn how to take off smoothly. Just remember to look out for idiots, pretend everyone else is a drunk driver and you dont know wtf they are going to do. and wear proper clothing helmet etc. Dont ride in shorts and flip flops man.

ive had a ninja 500r for 2 years and i love it. i could understand why ppl want faster bikes but i personally like the mpgs etc. a 600 cc acts like other bikes in low rpm and really takes off when you open the throttle more.... so its not even a concern unless you are a retard

ya I mean i'm not a retard either haha.

my only concern was that the bike was too big for me, not even the power so much.
