I am assuming it is while they were parking. I was at school for about 7 hours, so it happened there. Some of the paint is chipped off and one of the scratches look kind of deep. The part of the bumper was popped off too, but the clips were in tact and I popped it back on. It was definitely a white car that hit it, though.

Already looked up the reflector: ~$8

Location - Levittown, Pa, 10 miles from Philly.

Couple questions:

Is this an easy do-it-yourself project? If so, the cost and time?

If I took it to a local body shop, how much am I expected to pay for it to be sanded/re-painted.

This is the ideal situation to learn basic body and paint refinishing.

I say DIY.

But I always say that....

I could talk you through the whole process, and it would probably cost you about 60 dollars in materials, give or take (if you have access to a spray gun and compressed air).

Even if not, I could walk you up until paint. Then have some shop spray it. This is not worth paying a shop minimum of 450 dollars (for quality) to respray it. It's the perfect excuse to learn a useful skill.

this is fairly easy mate, wet sand paper it and just repaint it yourself. Giving it to the shop will cost u more than it's owrth. Id just leave it tbh and put a band-aid vinyl for the laughs :) Just fix the light.

EDIT: Try scrubbing it down with a cloth and petrol, it will rub out all the dark grease and white paint off the marks and it might just be enough :) I did that once, worked good you can only notice scratches if u pay close attention to the area

Thank you guys for reply :)

As for leaving it. I'd like to get it fixed asap, before I have to worry about it later. Planning to get a newer car next year.

that doesnt look to bad. wet sand it down. get some body filler and throw some in there. that one looks DEEP. sand it after the filer dries then get someone to spray it if you cant. it shouldnt cost that much just gotta spend a little time on it

I'm down for the time. Always wanted to learn some basic body work, anyway. This definitely isn't the last time something like this isn't going to happen. :)
