truck driver almost pkd me once lol. he was on the side of the highway going like 25 mph. i was passing a semi on the highway. the guy on the side of the highway decides to merge infront of the semi i was passing. he couldnt stop in time so his only hope was to get in the left lane where i was. i went off the highway then sideways down the pavement. i was going 70 mph lol good thing i was paying attention or i would have got wtf pwnt
theres always going to be some dumbasses driving the trucks. im not talking about situations such as this one where the truck driver would not be at fault yet its all about how the safety feature of the trailer failed when it didnt. its still in place and done what it was supposed to (to an extent). i never really cared for those that only came down in the center anyway when i was at usa truck we had some like that and others that the bar had 4 braces and covered the entire back of the trailer.

while i doubt the corvette would of done much better even with stronger bumper on the truck...it still needs to get changed.
i mean christ look at the trailer that did best in those test...instead of adding 1-2 more supports to the guard they simply moved them out further...wtf just add more supports instead of being so fucking cheap :/
yeah but to say the trailer failed is nothing more than trying to pass blame on. the government made the regulations that said a DOT bumper like that was ok and just fine to use. i dont even have to watch the video and i know what kind of bumper is obviously going to do better.
but i think they would also have to test for a vehicle like a corvette. the material its made from and the whole design of the car is going to make it way easier for one to still get destroyed by the other bumper probably. an impala is not really comparable in a crash to a corvette
