For those who hate imports just leave the thread.

I want to put a strong motor in my 91 crx si.

I know people do ls swaps a lot.
I don't think I wanna do the h22 or k20 route.

Other suggestions.

I just want something strong enough to fix up and turbo after a while.

This is a show car but needs to sound/run as strong as it looks.

Thanks a lot for the help.

Also. Prices would be a huge help!

i hate imports, yet here i am...

to get back to being serious, whats wrong with the motors you suggested? theyre good and reliable, great platforms to mod down the road and not too much money. is there a reasoning behind your decision on not trying to use those as a platform?

I heard the k20 and h22 series stuff was a pain to make fit and once you do it there is no turning back. They are not rules out. Was just hoping to find someone with experience with these who may have a better suggestion.

Also the ls I heard were good just wondering how strong they are and if you can fix up decently.

any b series is an easy swap/build.

or be a little different and turbo a D series just for fun.

d series motors work really well with turbos.

Yeah I heard they were but heard they were run of the mill. I'll keep in mind and definitely look into a D series.
