will do. its either going to be black, victory red, or lemans blue. I see soo many silver ones and IMO its soooo unflattering to the body style

yeah, thats my biggest fear which is why I was leaning more towards getting something in the 05-07 range with lower miles since it was most likely a summer cruising car

I painted a 63 and 76. The 63 was in a head on collision, rear end collision, and a tree fell on the trunk. Needless to say, the whole vehicle was covered in cracks.
Fiberglass is great because of its light weight, strength and inability to rust.
But once any structural damage occurs, it won't be before long that the damage will most likely spread, leading to lots of problems down the road.
But if it hasn't tapped into anything, or vice versa, I wouldn't worry too much about the mechanics. They are well built mechanically.
