thoughts? pretty good price on some ones in great conditions... i want a manual though

mechanically they were pretty much fixed in 88 i think.

the cooling system is still a pain in the ass though. huge air pockets and easy to damage the cooling pipes on the bottom.

yeah i am only looking at 88s really b/c of the mechanical probs. im just wondering if i might as well get some newer car or w/e. I usually drive motorcycle anyway



just dont want an excessive headache or w/e

eh if it was a daily driver type deal it's really up to you. they are fine but they don't have the cargo space/seating space of like a civic.

only reason i'd personally consider one is if i was going to swap engine/tranny in it.

hmm yeah I dont mind only having 2 seats / lack of storage b/c I dont like to dd ppl and such anyway and i do grocery shopping on motorcycle now so im used to it.


But if the tranny / engine are a concern that will prob steer me away from it

Apparently the air box is pretty restrictive making for excessive heat, and they have known oiling problems, which could potentially lead to fires.

Not saying they all do. Just do some homework on it before you pull the trigger.

well the concern is more about the car being too slow for me. i have the same opinion on miatas even though they have a good engine/tranny.

ooo i drive cars slow i do like to have good turning though.. i go fast on motorcycle instead of car
