I really love the Honda CRX but there aren't any clean/nice ones around my area or close to my state (Craigslist)

Any suggestions for a $3000 or so car? Or where to look for cars with that budget? I think I want a v6

I do NOT want a geo metro/civic m9's

If you're spending $3000 on a car, your concern on whether it's a v6 or not or how fast it goes. Your concern on a $3000 car is reliability.

personally I suggest you buy a older BMW. For 1 the engines are very good. E30's, E36's and E46's

Hondas and Toyotas can be a trap, depends on the shape that they are in, a japanese car has problems with engine. Small engine size with lots of HP. If you want to buy a old honda you have to be prepared to fix stuff around it :)

With the gas prices nowadays, get a diesel.

I know what Im saying, I own a honda civic 5th gen Coupe b18c4 1.8 169 bhp ( stock ) mine has 180. And I own a e46 318i .
Honda went through a hudge engine renewal, fixed all the parts inside myself. The body was rusty becouse of my climate in Poland. The e46 just has trouble with the water cooling system, old plastic pipes break from unproper explotation of the previous driver.

I hope you understood some things I said, sry for my language

Nicer accords normally run a little more. Therefore civic is gonna be your best choice. Otherwise the nicest Camry you can find.

You know what you're saying because of personal experience with just two cars?

Honda will be more reliable and less expensive to repair than BMW any day. Not to say that the Honda will be the "better car," but spending $3000 on a luxury vehicle is a much more huge risk.

firstly @ Stupidkid282. Bouth my cars were built from basicly just the body. I might have 2 cars but I had plenty of work hours with them. Plus I thought its enough expiriance to suggest a car for someone who is asking for tips -.-. And for the record Im a hudge JDM fan but due to the cars high costs of explotation I use a bmw. And im talking about sport Japanese cars not 5 camreys. edit: And yes, Hondas will be more reliable if taken care of correctly. Oil changes, leak fixes and such

second thing @ JDH. Becouse Diesel cars consume less fuel on longer distances making them cheaper. I personally hate diesel, sounds like shit and has no rev becouse of its massive nM. Personal preferance.
