You buy one just because you want to, much like a Ferrari etc. Cheaper things outperform them while being more reliable.

this really. Your just buying the "brand". In reality, you can build something better for cheaper. I havent looked at bike prices in a few years since I bought my 07 750, but I remember ducatis being like 4k or more than the same models of suzui/honda etc
