Ya I already tried to bang on the starter , had the car jacked up hood popped , car is 15 miles from home .... It's only 430 but its getting dark already, car is stuck in an apartment complex at msu , gonna be rough trying to pull it off in the dark

Or the whole starter? 150 bucks sounds expensive, unless you drive a tractor, or a diesel.

You could definitely just replace the solenoid for prolly around 60 bucks and be back on your feet.

99% of the time people replace the whole starter, when it could have been solved for much less. Alternators too.

Ya its for the whole starter, I figure while I'm down there I might as well do it all up so I don't have to worry about it. The solenoid was only 40$ which is pretty reasonable
