I just recently purchased a Zilla brand bearded dragon kit.

currently set and warming up as i type. Going to go and pick up the Lizard later. Any recommendations for a good habitat setup?
Rocks, wood, water fixtures, other critters?

right on. i have a cricket keeper and i know they eat crickets. planning on amping up the diet with everything that i can that is in the best interest of their health. im still doing plenty of reading up on them to see what will suit him best. just as humans, they have personalities like the rest. pretty cool to me. to have one for 10 years is to have a pretty cool relationship to have with him or her. i think thats awesome. they can even coexist with with cats and carry out a friendship with them.

They are very easy to care for. I had 2, they were brother and sister, one died after like 8-9 years of liver problems and the other a few months later from separation depression.

Crickets should be there main diet... Meal worms should be a 'treat'

Pellets will work well for easy cleanup, make sure you get one that if they accidentally digest won't poison them. I had a heating pad that stretched the bottom of the tank, and heat lamps. They need the heat, so a nice wood fixture so they can climb and bask under the heat lamps is good for them. But they also need a cool zone. You should have seen that on the Internet about them. So 2 thermometers is ideal so you can have the main section under the heat lamp cooler than the other side.

You don't really need much more. Great pets, very friendly, easy to take care of. And live for a long time. So your investment isn't wasted.

And they grow to the size of their habitat. If you have a massive tank they can grow very large. Just want to make sure you aren't getting one that's to small. Internet and pet store should be able to recommend a size if your getting one, a size for 2, etc...

make sure u feed them greens, they need their greens. i use collard greens and dandylions (not the flower, just the leaves). crickets are good and worms are treats! i have read that they love the horned worms (tomato worms) but many ppl cut the horns off.

you want to give them a protein suppliment at least 1x a week (i do it every 2-3 days) and make sure u get them a good UV light!

i use tile as a substrate ( helps naturally run down their nails). sand is a NO NO!
