Alright,

So my lady and I have been arguing for quite some time now over weather or no to bread our English Bulldog. He is not paper'd, we bought him from someone who bought him from the breeder(didnt want him), and he is 2 years old.

She says that people are not going to want our Bulldog puppies because they are not paper'd, she also says that its going to cost more money than we will get in return(and all kinds of other shit I stopped listening to).

My argument/question is, I think we can sell the dogs for atleast $1000/piece and that the vet bills will be under 2k, which will net us a profit(assuming 4-6 puppies).

Do you think I am wrong, what experiences has anyone had with breading Bulldogs, and what can you recommend?

We would probably get another Bulldog and bread the two(possibly a paper'd girl), I dont want to find a person looking for a stud service.

No one will touch 1k without papers. I hate dog breeding in and of itself, and inexperienced breeders that use it as a get rich quick scheme are the worst of the lot.

I mean we bought ours for $800, and we spent months trying to find a dog under $1000. Most of the time we found one it was fake, thats why I thought we could easily sell for that price.

Also, its not a get rich quick scheme, I will do it correct and enjoy it.

and besides the vet bills what if your gf is right and no one wants them and you get stuck with puppies you dont want.
not a good idea imo unless you do it properly with 2 dogs that have a good history and are papered.
