Long story short, My cat ate about 10 inches of a string and went to the vet yesterday. He got an x-ray and the doctor said he would give me a call today about the results. When I got back home last night with him from the vet, he hid under my bed, threw up once, and is now sleeping on the couch very depressingly not eating or drinking anything at the moment. It's my first time dealing with this and god knows how stressing and sad it is for me. Has anyone had any experience with this kind of thing? Will they normally or eventually poop out or throw the string up? I have 4 finals next week and its so stressful at the moment

1: god isn't gonna do shit about it
2: the cat will digest what it can then either shit it out or throw it up
3: worst case scenario it dies.

you took it to the vet already, and had xrays taken, they will call you when they figure out what to do

they will either suggest that you surgically remove it with $$$$$ or it will pass naturally.

Your sig got me.
You cat will be looked after by the vet, chances are the string will be gone naturally, stomach acids etc., he/she is probably just a bit lethargic because of it but it should pass! I had a cat who ate a load of string, the vet had an x-ray and said just to let nature take its course. Post updates :)
