I got a puppy for my wife because im at work alot but she had to head home for a week amd cant take him with her. He wines alot we set up a pen before she left so he wouldnt have to be in the freezing outside. Hes real young so i didnt wana do that to him but we cant let him run inside because hes not house trained yet. And i didnt want him locked in a carrier. Any tips to make him wine less? I tried turning on the tv for him he just got louder. He squeals like hes dying at some points and thoes are what realy bothers me. Hes not in there 24/7 just while im at work and sleeping.

He will eventually stop. What type of dog is it?

Take him on a long walk before bed to get some energy out. You should consider crate training especially if a smaller dog.

hes 100% better now. heck he even knows to use puppy pads when indoors ( altho hes not smart enough to stand on the pad all the way so sometimes there are mishaps)
hes a beagle terrior mix. may post pictures when i get home
hes a good dog very loveing and play full just that first few days he did not want to accept that he had to stay in the carrier or the pen now.

There's nothing wrong with having your dog sleep in an carrier/pen/cage. Or even stay in them while your not home. My dogs have them and they love them. It's their little safe place. Sometimes they just go in there and lay down. 1 of them always does it when there is a storm its so cute. And when it's bed time or I am leaving I say 'go in your house' and they run right into them and wait for me to close them

Puppies are like little kids.. They will whine and cry for your attention. This phase usually last until 6 month of age

Also .. Puppy stage is a good time to house train him

Check out YouTube vids for instructions on how to house train puppies
