This has happened numerous times where I either wake up while he's randomly peeing in the bed, or I wake up because my foot touched something wet.

My dog is approx. 3 1/2 years old and we've had him since he was 6months. He just started doing this somewhat recently... To my knowledge, nothing has changed. We keep our bedroom door open so they can scratch the door to go outside to go to the bathroom. (He did this two nights ago but he peed in bed last night.)

Anyone have this happen and know what I should do??

Vet simply said restrict water after a certain time... We've tried it last time and last night he didn't have water after 8pm...

It has happened a total of 5 times in the last two months. We had him checked last week for a uti AGAIN but no sign of it.

I'm a new puppy owner and I've learned a little bit but maybe I'm wrong;

1. Maybe your dog thinks he owns your bed (did you properly train him? Did the previous owners properly train him?)

Or

2. Take your dog to the bathroom before you plan on going to bed

Dog knows he isn't allowed into the bed until my wife and I tell him to jump up.

He goes out and usually goes for a walk before bed.

I did forget to mention two big things.
1. He has really bad separation anxiety
2. He has adhd.

Sorry I haven't read much about either of those about dogs since they haven't applied to me.

You might need to crate him at night. Could be because he is getting older. Could also be sick

Getting older at 3 and 1/2??

I think it has something to do with the AC and water at night. He hasn't done it since I turned the ACs off at night

3 1/2 is a lot older than you would think. Especially if the life span of the specific dog is shorter than others (ex: 7 years)

Like I said he/she could or could have been sick
