hi guys! i promised my neighbors that i will keep his dog for 4 weeks because he is on vacations. but know i got the opportunity to go 1-2 weeks on vacations myself and i dont wanna skip that...
anyway i have 1 big bag of dog food enough for 2 weeks i guess.
my thoughts were to leave the bag open so he can divide the food himself for each day or just eat out of it when he wants
how much do you guys think a dog would need for 1-2 weeks? its a pretty small dog so he shouldnt need that much i guess

you should take your neighbor's dog with you on your vacation. it's not safe to leave the little guy by himself.

The dog would eat all the food in 2 days and then go hungry the rest of the time.

Wtf? U can't just change the food firat off. I have 2 rottis and they each eat 1.5 cup in morning and same at night. U don't ever just leave a bag of food open and let the dog eat from it....

I used to let my dog eat whenever and as much as he'd like, he would stop when he wasn't hungry and come back later, he never got overweight or anything, lived for 16 long years doing so.

take vacation...go somewhere you can take the dog(assuming its trained and everything).

your neighbor trusted you so live up to their expectations like a responsible person.
