When the Wife and I got married she had a 14 year old rag doll cat that we put down since it has tumors growing in her intestines and the vet said there wasn't anything we could do at that point

So after our grieving we went to the local animal shelter and were set on adopting a older cat that most people would pass on. We ended up finding two beautiful Siamese cats that are brothers and were dropped off in the middle of the night and they had been at the shelter for many months. Well it turns out they are both 12 years old and nobody was giving them a chance. We knew in our hearts they were the ones we wanted.
Beans & Pepper (Pepper has the darker face) :
Recently Pepper stopped eating and dropped from 18 points down to 11 (We were feeding him Blue Buffalo Mature Diet food) So we took him and and to make a long story short he had been eating the wife's scrunchies and they were blocking him up. So they took care of that and we brought him home and we was back to his old self until this weekend where he started to drool and smell like pee. We just dropped him off at the vets and leaving him over night so they can make sure whats going on with him and give him the proper medicine.
What kind of symptoms did your car show when they had a bladder infection? (We are thinking this is what he has. He even peed on the Wife's lap and neither of them has went to the bathroom anywhere other than their multiple litter boxes)
