So I got this cat, about 2 months ago, he never plays or have any fun, he just lay on the couch all day long .... but when it comes to like 3:00 am or 4:00

he just starts running like crazy everywhere, waking me up, same for my roomates

what can we do to make him play or run during the day instead of the night?

thanks

I got him from a friend that couldn't keep him anymore

Cats are nocturnal by nature, every cat I've had and seen has been active at night and lazy during the day.

does anyone use some electronic equipment at those times
animals can be sensitive to certain types of electro-magnetc waves
which might not effect them when there is other 'noise' around

also what 'Williamsii' said but that should not be excessive behaviour

Every cat is different, the one I own right now will cuddle and sleep with my girl and I all night if we let him...others we've had run around crazy like they smoked crack all night.
