Or you can put it out of its misery....OR depending on the severity of its injuries, try to recuperate him

Wtf? We don't allow cruelty to animals here. Give the cat its meal back.

If you handled the squirrel with your bare hands the mother won't want it back. Squirrels DO carry babies in their mouth so its possible the mother would find and take the baby back
However its pretty cold outside these days and there are lots of predators. I doubt you have the training to help a squirrel that tiny to be able to feed and care for it

If you DO want to make the commitment to take care of the squirrel then you are going to need to buy some milk replacement and find a bottle with a nipple small enough for the little guy to latch onto. Or an eye dropper
It can be very tedious work and takes a lot of time and effort getting up every 3 hours to feed it.

You say it may be injured then I would say take it to a vet clinic and drop it off. Let them worry about either putting the little guy down.. or they will take care of its needs and bring it back to health

The facts of life are that some creatures in the wild just don't make it. The squirrel was in the cats mouth for a reason probably because it either got stolen by the cat, or it fell out of a nest and became a nice looking snack
Damn nature, you scary.
