Well, it started off, as him kicking like he was having a dream I tried to wake him up but all he did was kick, and then foam started coming out of his mouth, and he was like having a hard time to breath this lasted 5-10 minutes, then all of a sudden he came out of it and was HAPPY, like nothing happend...

dog is 6-7ish

I'm wondering what to do next. or why he had it

take it to the vet.

my pomeranian had seizures. at first it seemed out of the blue. but after a few weeks it happened regularly, multiple times a day. we had to put it to sleep.

It could of been a toad, in Florida they have poison that seeps out of their skin, if a dog eats it they can get sick and have a seizure. (happen to my dog)

If your dog had a seizure, especially one that lasted 5 - 10 minutes, then you he needs to go see a vet immediately. I'm unsure of why this post is even on here when there are emergency pet clinics everywhere these days that should be called while this is happening. Think of a couple things, as well:

Did he eat something like prescription meds, chemical cleaners or weird plants outside?
What is his behavior like?
Are there toads in the area? (Granted, this wasn't a toad toxicity, as your dog is still alive)

Seizures can be treated very easily and without a great expense to you, so get off your butt and hit the vet up. It's not fair to your dog if you decided to ignore the problem until it becomes impossible to treat.
