haha, that's adorable sounding but kind of silly.
i used to have a kitten who did that, and he wouldn't leave his food bowl unless it was topped up so he could come back to a totally full bowl lol.

omg. He just pushed all the kitty litter to one side of the box, laid down in it for a bit, dug around some more, then shit on the floor.
