Hi all,

Well, for a while I've been trying to find some really good dog treats, that are healthy,

AND are inexpensive, so I decided to make some for my Lovely Standard Poodle and she LOVES them

Today I decided to make,

Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits

Ingredients:

2 cups whole wheat flour (you can use another type of flour if your dog is sensitive to wheat)
1 cup rolled oats
1/3 cup peanut butter, chunky or smooth (I used smooth this time)
1 1/4 cups hot water

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350° F
2. Mix dry ingredients together.
3. Mix in the peanut butter and hot water. You may need to add more flour if the dough is too sticky.
4. Knead the dough well.
5. Roll out the dough into 1/4" thickness and cut into shapes with dog cookie cutters.
6. Note - For a nice sheen once they are baked put an egg wash one egg whisked with a fork and then brush it on
7. Bake on a lightly greased cookie sheet for 40 minutes. Turn off the oven and let them cool overnight.
After: The cookies get very hard, just the way dogs like them!

So, If you guys decide to try it let me know!

and post some of your dog food/treat creations, and I will be sure to try them out!

However, dont post anything with cornmeal, because alot of homemade dog treat recipes call for cornmeal,
and that causes your dog's blood to boil.

Banana Honey Dog Treats!

Ingredients:
2 cups water
2 bananas, mashed
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg
4 1/2 cups whole-wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking powder

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. Lightly grease 2 large baking sheets.
3. Combine water, mashed bananas, honey, vanilla, and egg in a large bowl.
4. Stir in whole-wheat flour and baking powder.
5. Beat dough with an electric mixer on medium speed until ingredients are thoroughly combined, 1 to 2 minutes.
6. Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead until no longer sticky, 5 to 8 minutes.
7. Roll out dough to 1/4-inch thickness and cut into mini shapes with your favorite cookie cutter.
8. Place dough shapes on prepared baking sheets.
9. Bake in preheated oven until cookies are lightly browned, about 20 minutes.
10. Turn off the oven and leave cookies until thoroughly dry and crisp, 30 to 40 more minutes.
11. Remove baking sheets from oven and allow cookies to cool on pans for 10 minutes. Transfer cookies to wire rack to fully cool.
