Ok, so I found this kitten couple houses down he looks about 4-5 weeks old, when I found him he was constantly meowing,I looked around for more kittens or a mom but nothing. So I took and gave him some warm milk but he just never stops meowing.

I don't know if he/she is calling for his mom or if I should put him back where I found him. I might keep him though.

it's totally normal for young kittens to meow continuously. he will grow out of it eventually. kind of just like babies crying but kittens.

as long as you can take care of him then keep him. don't put him back though because more then likely he was abandoned by the mother cat.

post pics if you can! :)

gratz on your new kitten!

Why would a mother abandon it though?

might be for a health reason or he may have just got lost. i've heard that if a human handles them (not saying you) when they are too young, the mother might abandon them due to the scent from the human.

maybe a kid picked the kitten up, tried to take it home and the parents said no? idk but if you take him back and leave him where he was then who knows what will happen to him.

keep him or find a good home for him imo :)

My cat Jager (pronounced yager), hes a neutered male cat and he like baby sits the cat it's so weird, whenever the kitten meows he goes right up to it and comforts it.
