I just got a new dog a few weeks ago and she started scratching excessively around her abdomen and hind legs. I've bathed her a couple times and went through the area with a fine tooth comb looking for any bugs and haven't found any. She usually just scratches the sides of her belly with her hind legs while walking around. Not sure what else to do to help her get rid of the itch.

plz sum help

if she is a long haired dog, her puppy fur maybe falling out and her new long hear starting to grow through it can cause the dog to bit and scratch themselvesmore frequently than before but she should stop in a couple of week . as this has just happened with out golden retriever puppy.

I would suggest some of that oatmeal bath soap... find it in the shampoo section of any dog store, or even at Walmart. If the puppy begins losing their fur.. take to the vet might be mange
