Ok, a few months ago, Some woman brought her dog on my property and my dog (female pitbull) got into it with her dog, and she called the cops, The cops didn't file a complaint but did send animal control to put my dog in quarantine for 10 days. Later on, I found out the lady went to the hospital for a dog bite claiming it was my dog (which a dog bite against her wasnt in the report). Anyways, nothing came of that. Yesterday, I was bringing my dog inside, when she slipped off the leash, She then walked over to my wife, Some other lady checking her mail then started screaming and panicking, which my dog then ran over to her and jumped on her and nipped her twice, which resulted in 2 puncture wounds, Not sure if it was from the nip or when she jumped on her, Anyways it was about 10 seconds, then my dog just stopped and left her alone. Afterwards, she called the police, ambulance, and pressed charges against me and I have to go to court for Harboring a Vicious Animal and Letting a Vicious dog run at large, since it slipped off the leash. My dog has always been good around children and other people... Any suggestions or Help, you guys could suggest, Would be appreciated.

take no offense to what people say, im sorry to say this but its just a stereotype towards your dogs breed, because its a pitbull everyone considers it to be dangerous. my friend has had many complaints about his rocky, his rocky is the nicest dog i know but the breed has a bad reputation because of the bad owners over the years using them for fighting, wierd thing is no1 is scared of a greyhound and they were fighting dogs.

If your dog attacked the other persons dog on your property it just seems like she was protecting her domain. Just get some training with your dog and more socialisation and make sure she knows you are the boss.

your dog would of probly jumped on her BECAUSE she was screaming and panicking.

Only suggestion i can give you is get a collar she wont get out of so easy. Unfortunatly because of your dog breed you have to be very carefull, i have 2 dogs a husky and a little west highlang terrier, the little westy is by far the grumpy more aggressive 1, so just remember its not your dog its how well you train them.

e/ Im about to start a course on dog psychology so if you want any help with training or behaiour let me know.
