The cat's semi-old, I don't know for sure how old. When the cat tries to walk, he wobbles like a person does when he's past three-sheets-to-the-wind.

A friend thinks its something neurological or Alzheimers, but I have no clue.

Inb4 vet, the person's too poor to take to a vet to do a DNA test / blood test / etc.

And don't sugarcoat it. I've outlived 6 cats in my family.

Only way to really tell is to take the cat to a vet. Wobbling is still pretty non-specific.

Maybe let them know ahead of time that a responsible person doesn't adopt or buy a pet without having the means to support them. That means being prepared for emergencies, too.
