I just adopted a 3 y/o husky and the person I adopted from said you may want to consider feeding him raw. Anyone have any experience feeding their dogs raw meat and organs? I've been reading up a lot about it and seen some really positive stuff as opposed to feeding any type of dry dog food. So, anyone with some legit and knowledgeable experience?

Its ok to feed your dog raw meat and organs from more natural meats such as deer, elk, fish, ect (farm animals would be good too)....But feeding them processed meats like beef, pork, and chicken that you get from the store is as bad for them is it is as bad for you.
there are alot of good healthy dry and wet foods for your dog. I feed my dog raw meats after hunting and fishing trips, but I would never give her meat I bought from a store...

Feeding ungulate meat (deer and elk) to your dogs can give them tapeworms. You can read about it here: http://riverjournal.com/vivvo/outdoors/2373-worms_gametrail_haag_012012.html. If you want to read about keeping game meat safe to eat go here: www.elk-hunting-tips.net.

Well in their natural environment they eat raw meat don't they? I'm sure it wouldn't hurt them.

Lol this, they naturally eat meat like that. Just make sure they are immunised for tape worms and so on.

You're horrible! XD

You could try and feed your dog...dog food. :)

Like the first comment, processed meat would NOT
be okay for your little guy.
