I dont think hes worried about whats in the bone. Its the fact that it might go in her mouth sideways and get logged doing some pretty good damage, death. Ya know?
Umm I would give it to her but BE HOME when you do, if you or parents leave take it away from her, I dono how devestated i would be if i came home to a dead little pup due to the fact that I gave her a bone.

Yes, and no.

Never give them any kind of cooked bone, they will shatter and potentially cause damage.

Rawhide bones (what is mostly available at pet stores and most common) can be hazardous as well. Rawhide acts somewhat like chewing gum does, it will build up in their system and can cause blockages. Best option here is to not give rawhide excessively and once they work it down to a smaller piece (ie: it could be swallowed whole) take it away and throw it out. Also, if she tends to chew up a rawhide bone in a matter of minutes, then they should also be avoided. If she gnaws on it over several days then it is less likely she is eating too much of it.

Best option for bones is a simple marrow bone from the butchers (grocery store, meat market etc..) Make sure they are not cooked. And I am not talking about the manufactured product called 'Marrow Bone' or what not. This is a real beef bone, with some marrow left in the bone. They bone itself is hard and will typically not break, but the dog can spend hours working the marrow out from inside it. (Dobermans have strong jaws, if she does start to crush the bone take it away.)
