i got a doberman i just want to know if he is gonna defend me or my family without training because i dont want to train my dog for attack or defense or it can be realy dangerous for other people and it can be like a weapons but if i dont train him to defense do you think he is gonna defend

Generally if you treat your dog well, he will probably protect you if the need arises.

If anyone threatens you or raises their tone to you the doberman will get defensive. They are very protective of their family. When i was a kid, my dog would get mad at my dad for wrestling with us.

i got a ridgeback cross bull mastiff, have't taught it how to attack or deffend, just taught it the basic comands,'

2 days ago our house got broken into at night, i had him sleeping on my bed, he bailed the person up in a corner and wouldnt stop until we came out to see what was happening =]

i just think its their natural instinked to do it really...

HIS DOG HAS SOME SERIOUS INSTINKED!

1) Love the dog like you would love your own kid or nephew or niece or bro or sis.
2) Play with the dog daily, there are some things you can teach a dog w/o having to train them.
3) Feed them on a regular basis or just have a nice big bowl ready for them for whenever they're hungry
4) Roughhouse a little to just play around, but make sure its ruffin up and not deliberately being mean, the dog will know when you are deliberately doing it, dont get frustrated if the dog doesn't learn from this but it will learn something.
5) be sure to have a color and do regular vet visits like once a month should do it.
6) Buy some toys for the dog, chewing toys help sharpen and calm the dog down.
7) let the dog sleep with you if he/she is feelin scared or just wants some loving.\

dogs are pretty teritorial..they can sense when u let someone in like not to attack


but i feel like if someone broke in, most dogs wud go ape shit..i know mine wud
