So, I have an 11 year old akita who has a somewhat sensitive stomach, and if we change what she eats she'll get diarrhea and such.
I ran out of food for her last night and worked all day today. I asked my roommate to pick up her food for me since he works at Petco, but of course he forgot it at the end of his shift and the store closes at 8 because it's a Sunday. I've checked local stores that are open and there aren't any foods that are even similar to hers available.
She usually eats a dry kibble that is poultry protein based, with whole grains and such added in.

What would be a decent substitute that won't have her pooping and puking all over my house?

Would something simple like bread suffice until tomorrow morning when I can get her food?

She hasn't eaten all day and I feel terrible.

I would cook ground beef in water (no spices or anything) and mix some bread with it.

My dog has the same problem :( , the only food which doesn't give him diarrhea is gastro and it costs ~4 times normal Iams pack... I'm trying other foods now... No luck :(

/e What brand of food does your dog usually eat?

i would let the dog go hungry for a day. its not a big deal, im sure u've gone a day without eating before, better than harming the dog's digestive tract, and causing a pain in the ass, if you say she pukes and gets diarrhea, better to just pick something up in the morning before work, or when you awake. However, you can feed her some bread, or something with starch that is going to fill her up quickly, and take a chance of her spitting it back up if you are really worried.

i've heard cooked meat is bad for dogs with sensitive stomachs, and is going to cause what the owner does not want.

Oh, i've gone many a day w/o eating, i wrestled before I got too many concussions. I'm just concerned cuz she's so old

I've just been making sure she has access to her water and that it's fresh every few hours so it's as appealing as possible

Give her some ground beef with rice and add some honey/cottage cheese in if you have some around.

Give her like 3-4 cups of that and then get your other food in the morning.

And she may not have a sensitive stomach, as most dogs if you change their food get diarrhea.
