He chews on shoes, has chewed on my xbox controller (and broke it), a dvd case, and tupperware containers.

I know about catching them in the act and reprimand them, but it only happens when he is alone for 2-3 hours per day.

I take him for walks, play fetch with him to try to tire him out, but apparently he only likes to sleep when I'm on my laptop

another not so great option would be to kennel him when u r not at home ... not my favorite solution but some dogs get used to it and don't mind it. The positive with that would be that he wouldn't be able to destroy anything while u r away and when u get home its a positive (he's happy to be out of the kennel/crate and ur happy cuz nothing was chewed) :)

hope this helps :)

Yeah I've heard of that, it just feels cruel to me. This is in the back of my mind, I'd like to just make him stop chewing but thanks for the input

i lold at that,

my dog was doing the same,

the best solution that worked is to take the thing he shewed and show him that u r really mad about it.

my dog got afraid of chewing things in house this way

The last two days he hasn't chewed anything since I got pissed at him for chewing a sandal. I caught him in the act and yelled at him and hit him with it a few times. For the rest of the day I ignored him. Seems good now. You can call me the dog whisperer.

I taught him to sit, lay down, stand up, shake left and shake right within two weeks.

Next up: hit a bell to let me know he wants inside
