My cat ran down the stairs today and as soon as he did he jumped on our couch and just sort of fell over. His leg is now bent and it seems as though he cant put pressure on it. Is it possible for a cat to break their leg running down stairs? The vets around here all closed around noon and all vets are closed on Sundays, so I am pretty worried.

Sure it's possible. Or maybe it's a sprain. No way to tell via internet, take it to a vet as soon as you can. Just try to get it to keep the weight off of it for the time being, maybe splint if you can

emergency vet? there is usually always an emergency vet. call them.

and its def not broken, my cat jumps like 15 feet down a tree every day and is fine lol

Most major cities have 24 hour vets...

Aslong as the cat doesnt look "ill" and its just got a sore leg i think it will be ok, just be nice to it and keep it comfy untill the vet opens.

This same situation occurred with my cat, only she was sick.

Sad thing is, she could have been saved if we had gotten to a vet on that sunday instead of monday.
