when no ones home, adopted him from the pound about a month ago.

I give him tons of attention, walks, he sleeps with me, literally follows me around the house.
But when I leave the house, even just to walk down the road, I come back and the garbage can is tipped over, blinds are mauled, things are pulled off the counter etc.

I'm getting him a kennel today and going to try to get him accustom to it without him thinking its a punishment but I'm not exactly sure where to put it.
Either A: in my room where he normally sleeps, or B: in the living room area where I am when I'm home and not sleeping.

Any other ideas to calm him down when he doesn't have someone immediately here to give him attention?

He will still have anxiety in the kennel.
I used to come back and my dog would tip his kennel over because he was fraking out so much

Little dogs (Ofc talking about inside dogs) often get anxiety attacks. It's fairly common among them, or atleast any that we've had or anyone else in the family has had.
