I had an Australian Blue Heeler. Very obedient and loyal dog. She loved to play and would jump up on her hind legs and prop her fore-legs on your shoulders like she was giving you a hug.
One of my dad's friends friend had a little Husky puppy named Layla. Cutest and most playful dog ever, she also had a very soft and fluffy coat, and was a beautiful white colour.

the above groups are those given by the UKC: http://www.ukcdogs.com/WebSite.nsf/WebPages/LrnBreedInfoByGroup which has a longer list of recognised breeds than the AKC, the only longer one i know is the FCI list but that has 10 categories (too many for a poll here)
if you are not sure which group your favorite breed belongs to, the link given has the complete list of UKC recognised breeds
if you can't find it there try to work the group out by breeds similar to it
(*) the other is for 'new' breeds like labradoodle or for cross-breeds
