So it isn't a friendly pet? even if handled often from adolescence? I used to work at an animal shelter and one of my co-workers had a cham, it was tiny, like capable of standing along one of your fingers, his seemed very friendly to hold and what not he always carried it around... but then again this guy had a knack for animals, had his dogs, cat, and snakes even living in harmony, a true animal whisperer im telling you... are they all not friendly?
Depends on the owner just like dogs.
If you "pet it" the right way during their first time they will become friendly, if you introduce them to other animals they will co-op
but then there is some black sheeps aswell who don't care about you and just want you to pretty much gtfo and die.
