No he died :( Poor Goku.
My mom has plenty of reasons to be ashamed, she loves her pets to death though, so I'd never fault her in that area. She'd jump in front of a car for them. She just doesn't stop fatty fat from eating when shes hungry lol.

vet didnt seem to care much that he was fat. said we were lucky to have brought him in early or else he would have died. hope he gets well. gotta leave him at vet for like 2 days.

It's America... I guess they're used to seeing fat animals over there (and their pets, sorry couldn't resist). Over here that would at least be an RSPCA issue and the RSPCA might well decide to prosecute you due to mistreatment of your cat. Hope this is a wake up call for you. Your animal is obese. Take better care of it and while you're at the vet's ask them about a diet to help it lose weight.
