dogs because they can actually play and do stuff with you.

I play hide n seek with my cats. My cat shadow played fetch which is odd for a cat. Miss that little guy :-( dumb coyotes.

Dogs are just more fun there always happy when you come home and they can never be mad @ you and they always want to play

Cats are just annoying .. they scratch on everything they want ... they only want to play when they want to ... not to mention the hairballs

They both have their pros and cons.

Cats can take care of themselves if you're real busy, from my experience they usually don't really need house training. We always just showed our cats where the little box was once or twice on the first day we had them and they never used the bathroom anywhere else. They do tend to be pretty lazy when they're older though xD

Dogs are playful and very good companions since they're more or less pack animals unlike cats. They get lonely easily unless trained though...my family's always left the tv or radio on while away so their dog thinks somebody's around.

Basically I like them about the same, but leaning towards dogs.
