turtles are not too hard to keep. just not cheap.
For a small/baby turtle you are gonna spend around $200 to get everything you need.
For my two adults, I have around $800 invested in each of their habitats.
and I probably spend at least $25+ a month feeding them.
If you are serious about getting one and caring for it and want more info msg me.

I actually had a whole setup.
It was pretty expensive and took up a lot of room.
the filter wasn't strong enough and only filtered things close to it.

and the turtle poops and that was a hassle.
so i got rid of everything the next day.

Turtles suck. My friend has a couple turtles and he always talks about how if he could go back in time, he would tell ten year old him not to get turtles.

Each of my turtles have a 75g tank with a 175g canister filter. -unless you build a sump system a canister is the only way to go on any kind of tank. Don't waste money on the filters that hang on the side.

They don't suck...
if he hates them so much he can just give them away because there are others who would appreciate them
