Our never barks unless we tell him to, oh and maybe sometimes when he is calling for other dogs to play with him and jump around or w/e.. and maybe if someone approaches him slowly and weirdly I guess, but almost never.
Yeah that is indeed a problem, however with time he will just learn that you will come back eventually I think? :P
When I leave the home he just lays down and guards the door it seems like, and when I come back he is still there just laying out and about ^_^
I don't think dogs can "feel" how long one has been gone for, wether it's 30 min or 8 hours. Maybe they can & I'm entirely wrong but that's what I've heard.
Not sure about them feeling the length of time either but I know that mine acts out in the same amount of excitement if I leave to take out the trash and don't bring him with me (lol) or if I leave for work.
Like today I left for literally less than 10 minutes and when I got back he acted like I was just gone all day lmao
